The World Martial Arts Games Movement

The World Martial Arts Games Movement began in August 2005 when a group of individuals, heading up National Martial Arts Teams, decided it was time to create a non-profit organisation that would unite the world of martial arts in annual competition. What started as an idea amongst a few, now incorporates the thoughts of over 20 nations covering 5 continental regions. And the movement continues to grow.

We are the joining together of martial arts athletes, national team directors, international martial arts organizations, sponsors, media and spectators all in the common goal of uniting the world of martial arts through an annual, non-profit international, mixed martial arts competition. We are guided by the World Martial Arts Games Charter. The Charter is governed by World Martial Arts Games Committee (WMAGC). We recognise the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the supreme body of all international sports.
